Empowering the American Cancer Society with the Florida Panthers

Posted October 2025

TGI and iPower are proud to partner with “Panthers on the Prowl“, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser hosted by the Florida Panthers benefiting the American Cancer Society.

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Bill Zito and his wife, Julie, a breast cancer survivor, created Panthers on the Prowl, a fundraising campaign to support cancer research. This exciting initiative brings together art, community, and philanthropy to support cancer research and patient services, while celebrating Florida’s iconic wildlife and hockey pride. Inspired by Chicago’s famous “Cows on Parade,” this campaign features life-sized panther sculptures, displayed in key locations across South Florida. These stunning panther statues symbolize strength, resilience, and the united effort to defeat cancer. Proceeds will help the American Cancer Society’s mission of improving the lives of those battling cancer and their families to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.

From individuals to businesses, athletes to celebrities have joined the prowl, showcasing their panthers and joining the cause to help fight cancer. Each sponsor had the opportunity to select an artist for their panther statue. The artists personalized each design to showcase each sponsor’s support for this impactful cause. TGI and iPower selected the talented South Florida artist, Catarsis. Catarsis is a Colombian-American urban and visual artist. Through her work, she aims to express the emotional complexities of life-touching on everything from personal feelings to societal issues. Her goal is to create a visual conversation with the community, turning everyday moments into something meaningful and transformative. This project was especially meaningful to her as her mother is a breast cancer survivor and is currently facing another battle with cancer. Catarsis said, “This project is such a meaningful way to honor the strength, courage, and resilience of cancer survivors, and I feel truly grateful to contribute to something so special. I’m thank for this opportunity to be a part of this beautiful cause and this amazing initiative to support, celebrate, and raise awareness during Cancer Awareness Month.

TGI and iPower are proud to stand alongside the American Cancer Society and the Florida Panthers in the fight against cancer. iPower President, Jarrett Pavao, said, “Through this partnership, we hope to spread the message of  strength and resilience through community. Together, we’re making an impact beyond the rink and supporting a cause that matters to us all.” When providing design direction to Catarsis, we explained our company’s core value of empowering our community. iPower’s panther, Empower, has a textured, futuristic design that evokes motion and technology, using TGI and iPower’s signature green power button. We focus on empowering the businesses we support with our technology products and services as well as empowering our community through support of organizations like the American Cancer Society.

On Saturday, October 25th over 65 of the 120 panther statues were on display inside Chairman’s Club at Amerant Bank Arena for the Florida Panthers Pink in the Rink game. The culmination of these efforts were moving. The impact made is powerful! Empower now lives at TGI and iPower’s Boca Raton location. Stop by to see!
